A diner in Aurora, IL wanted some portable rental units for their restaurant. Since there was no space above the ceiling or window to discharge the hot air from an air-cooled unit, water-cooled portables were the unit of choice. One unit was hooked up in the seating area and another unit was installed in the kitchen. Both units were supplied with water from a common faucet by installing a 2-way valve. It is not uncommon for Rent AC to supply a water wye outlet so kitchen employees can use water independent of the water-cooled air conditioner hookup.
