Cooling down electrical components so they do not malfunction is a typical application that we run across in the portable cooling equipment industry every year. We were called out to implement cooling of the VVVF drives inside the gray electrical box, since the variable drives were overheating and tripping on temperature. The portable air-cooled unit installed is serving dual purpose. We are cooling down the variable voltage, variable frequency drives by blowing cool air from the portable unit in and out of the gray electrical box. We are also increasing the airflow to aid in heat removal inside the pool shed. Massive heat loads from the 5 large pool pump motors and the radiant sun load were turning the pool shed into a sauna. And yes, we provided and installed the large discharge vent on the side of the pool shed. Another success story of the many exciting applications we run across daily, which makes everyday fun and exciting.
